Spring Point Ledge Light Trust

While the Spring Point Ledge Light does not provide meeting facilities, it does provide a location for fresh air, a walk, and a chance to refresh your team just across the harbor from the city of Portland.

About Us

Built in 1897, the Spring Point Ledge Light is an integral part of shipping traffic in Casco Bay, especially in Portland Harbor. Today, this location allows visitors to experience the harbor’s busy boat traffic up close.

In 1951, a granite breakwater was added to ensure the safety of the many boats in the harbor, and to allow access to the lighthouse on foot. It is now the only caisson style lighthouse with pedestrian access in the United States.

Private tours can be arranged for your group through the Spring Point Ledge Light Trust at [email protected].
