Set in the heart of the Katahdin Region, NEOC provides a retreat environment that feels removed from the everyday while still delivering the comfort, hospitality, dining, and logistics needed for successful corporate events and group gatherings.
What sets NEOC apart is the ability to combine productive meeting space with authentic Maine outdoor experiences. Group itineraries can include private whitewater rafting trips on the Penobscot River, guided wildlife tours, canoeing and kayaking excursions, mountain biking, hiking adventures in and around Baxter State Park, snowmobiling, fishing, and more. Evenings can be spent around a lakeside fire, enjoying craft beer and wood-fired pizza at Knife Edge Brewing, or gathering for thoughtfully prepared dinners overlooking Millinocket Lake with incredible views of Katahdin.
NEOC offers full-service lakeside accommodations directly on-site, creating a seamless experience where groups can stay, meet, dine, and explore all in one location. Cabins and ecolodges are situated along the shores of Millinocket Lake, many with direct views of Katahdin and convenient access to meeting spaces, dining venues, trails, and the waterfront. Overnight accommodations comfortably host groups of up to 100 guests, while event venues and catering operations regularly accommodate gatherings of more than 200 attendees.
Dining and catering are led by the in-house culinary teams at River Drivers Restaurant and Knife Edge Brewing. From breakfast meetings and boxed trail lunches to elevated dinners, receptions, and post-meeting gatherings, menus can be customized to fit your group’s needs. Coffee stations, snacks, and meeting break service are also available throughout your stay, with many dishes prepared from scratch using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
