Thank you to those who were able to join us at our Sales & Marketing Meeting August 13th at The Cross Insurance Arena, sponsored by the Maine Mariners. Once again, a BIG thank you to Mike LeConte, Peter Doyle, and Lauren Dobrynski with The Cross Insurance Arena and Sam Murray and Kathryn Horrigan with the Maine Mariners- your breakfast spread was amazing, and The Landing offered the perfect setting for our meeting! Another BIG thank you to Zachary Sundquist for sharing a presentation with us from the Portland International Jetport.

- Lynn Tillotson, President + CEO: Visit Portland is happy to announce that the Portland Tourism Development District has been approved for another year. Our Creative Director, Kelly Schneck, is working on a digital version of our Annual Report to share with our partners. In the meantime, if you are interested in seeing our 2024 Annual Report, please reach out!
- Caroline Zambernardi, Partner Success + Benefits Manager: Caroline is excited to announce the reintroduction of Visit Portland’s Tourism Talks Series held at the Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks. Keep your eyes peeled for the next “save the date” for a Tourism Talk with Kurt Graser, Knack Factory.
- Musseit (Moose) M’Bareck, Advertising Specialist : Moose is currently offering opportunities to advertise in the 2026 Destination Guide. If you are interested in learning more, please email him directly, moose@visitportland.com.
TOURISM/HOSPITALITY UPDATES
- Jeanie Cohen | Embassy Suites by Hilton: Embassy Suites by Hilton is home to ample meeting space for events as small as 6 and as large as 130. Jeanie invites you to reach out to chat with her about partnerships and hosting your birthday party, team building event or training, holiday party, and more at the Embassy!
- Lauren Stockless | The Maine Irish Heritage Center: Lauren is excited to promote The Maine Irish Heritage Center as not only a cultural institution, but also an event venue! IHC can host groups of up to 500 in the Sanctuary and 450 downstairs. They are accustomed to hosting weddings, meetings, concerts, and more and invite anyone who’d like to come by for a tour.
- Dylan Suhr | Portland Explorer: Portland Explorer is excited to announce their new tour in partnership with the Porthole Restaurant, Pearls and Prosecco! Portland Explorer offers a variety of tours, including boat tours, walking tours, and bus tours all beginning and ending at the Portland Beer Hub in downtown Portland.
- John Babin | Maine Historical Society: John is happy to promote their current exhibit, Notorious: Maine crime in the public eye, 1690-1940. The Maine Historical Society offer self guided tours, guided tours, and event space. John invites his fellow partners to reach out to him directly if they’d like to send their groups to the museum.
- Paula Mahony | Words@Work: Words@Work is your results- driven marketing team! Paula can help your business with all of it’s marketing needs including photography, social media, email marketing, PR, and more!
- Kevin Moschella | Minibar: Kevin is excited to announce Minibar, Maine’s premier 18-hole indoor mini golf course, is set to open in mid-October! With a full restaurant, bar, indoor and outdoor seating, Minibar can host up to 400 guests for private events. Their local sports team-themed holes are fun for everyone! Partnership and hole sponsorship opportunities are available!
- Christian LeBlanc | Fifth Maine Museum: the Fifth Maine Museum, situated on Peaks Island, offers a serene and picturesque waterfront setting perfect for any group event of up to 75 people! Christian is open to community partnerships and is especially interested in meeting peers interested in tour package partnerships and boat transportation. - Courtney Sirois | Maine Wildlife Park: Just 30 minutes from Downtown Portland, where you’re guaranteed to see a moose! Courtney is excited to promote the Maine Wildlife Park as a group venue, great for bus groups and private events. hosting daily talks and education series, admission prices are just $11 per adult or $7 per adult for groups 20 or more.
- Parker Montano | Pine Tree Helicopters: Parker is excited to bring a helicopter to any event! Whether it’s flying in a VIP, elevating a photo shoot, or an aerial tour–Pine Tree Helicopters does it all!
- Kevin Sandler | Metropolis: Formerly known as SP+ Parking, Metropolis can take care of all of your parking and valet needs. Kevin is open to partnerships and can accomodate charter and bus rentals, special event valet parking, hotel valet partnerships and more.
- Mary Allen Lindemann | Coffee By Design: Mary Allen is proud to share that Coffee By Design is the only coffee company in America to have won Roaster of the Year and a James Beard Semi-Finalist of 2025 in the same year– Congratulations Coffee By Design! check out their News + Events Page to learn more about innovative and inclusive events.
- Albert Thayer | The Press Hotel: The Press Hotel is happy to announce the soft re-launch of their lobby bar, Inkwell, offering happy hour daily from 3pm-6pm. Albert invites anyone who would like to tour the property or talk about collaborations over for a visit to the hotel.
- Mark Look | Holiday Inn By the Bay: Mark is overjoyed to announce that the Holiday Inn By the Bay’s renovations are finally fully complete! He invites any fellow partners who are interested in seeing their new look to the property for a tour, anytime. He is also happy to announce the opening of their new restaurant and bar, Local Toast.
