Borromeo String Quartet first violinist Nicholas Kitchen distills his study of original manuscripts at the Bartók Archive in Budapest into a fascinating multimedia tour, centered around recently rediscovered alternate movements Béla Bartók drafted for his string quartets. This event is part of the Portland Chamber Music Festival’s inaugural Winter Warmer Festival, and is free and open to the public.

Don’t miss the Borromeo Quartet’s concert of Bartók and Beethoven later at 7 PM at Hannaford Hall! Tickets + more info at pcmf.org.
