While living on Monhegan Island, she developed her signature style which layered small, repetitive brush marks across large areas of canvas and employed color to “heighten optical energy”. Drexler’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Art Institute of Chicago, National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, Farnsworth Art Museum, Portland Museum of Art, Monhegan Museum, Maine, Hammer Museum, LA and many others.
