Challenge yourself, take the Plunge on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Portland Firefighters Children’s Burn Foundation assists with treatment expenses beyond insurance coverage, home modifications to deal with new limitations, support groups and social events with other burn survivors or family members. The PFCBF is a resource for burn survivors, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and fire departments that work and have contact with burn victims.
The Portland Firefighters Children’s Burn Foundation: supports the MMC Burn Team with scholarships for professional development, purchases pressure garments for adult burn survivors, hosts Fire & Ice Winter Camp for young burn survivors’ behavioral health and peer support, assists with cost of transportation for burn survivors and their families traveling for treatment and follow-up care in and out of Maine, we will sponsor training for firefighters that relates to burn injuries or preventing injuries and burns to firefighters.
