Join us for a special edition of Our Favorite Things as we look ahead to America’s 250th birthday with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience centered on Revolutionary-era Maine.

Get a sneak peek of our upcoming exhibition, Pathways to Freedom: Maine Stories from the American Revolution, as part of our year-long initiative to commemorate the 250th birthday of the United States.

This year’s Our Favorite Things event offers an intimate look at clothing, accessories, objects, and personal stories that shaped Maine’s Revolutionary era. At its center is Gen. Peleg Wadsworth’s Revolutionary War tricorn hat currently undergoing active conservation. Displayed mid-treatment, this item reveals the meticulous work of preserving Maine’s place in a defining chapter of American history.

Guests will discover the craftsmanship behind each artifact and the ongoing work to preserve Maine’s story for future generations.

Join us to explore Maine’s Revolutionary legacy and to help launch MHS’s commemoration of America at 250.
