2026 Travel Trends

Hilton has released its 2026 trend report.

Here are some key takeaways:

  • According to Hilton’s global research, respondents’ number one motivation to travel for leisure in 2026 is “to rest and recharge” (56%). Top desires also include spending time in nature (37%), improving mental health (36%), and spoiling themselves with “me time” (20%).
  • While traveling, 86% of families prioritize dining together. Nearly half (48%) of travelers cook their own meals while away.
  • 74% of participants say traveling has strengthened the family bond by participating in events related to their interests. More travelers are also encouraging their kids to bring friends along.
  • As for method of travel, the open road is calling, and travelers are answering: A whopping 71% of Americans plan to drive on their next vacation.

Jamaica Relief Efforts

The Portland Regency & Spa is hosting a Jamaica Relief Drive to support our friends and coworkers impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Many of our hospitality employees come from Jamaica each year, and now—many have nothing to return home to.

Join The Portland Regency for a special Donation Drive Event, Wednesday, December 17th at Mariner’s Church from 4 to 8 PM. Enjoy food, drinks, and live music by Stream Reggae. Admission is free—just bring a donation.

Everyone who donates is entered to win a four-hundred-dollar Portland Regency gift card.

Support our community—and Jamaica—this holiday season.
