Dean Bingham of Dean’s Sweets is turning 80 in style-by cycling solo across the country to raise $80,000 for MS research and chase a Guinness World Record. Starting May 1 on the Oregon Coast, Dean will ride an estimated 60 miles a day for 60 days, finishing with a wheel dip in the Atlantic right here in Portland. It’s his third cross-country ride for the MS Society, a cause he’s championed for more than three decades. Pick up his limited-edition Bicycle Bar in store — $2 from every purchase goes straight to the National MS Society.
