Navis Cafe
Navis Café is a family-run, all-day café on Portland’s East End waterfront, across from the Ocean Gateway terminal and a short stroll from the Eastern Prom.
About Us
Opened in 2020 by Mark and Renae Roy, the family behind neighboring Thames Landing, Navis serves scratch-made breakfast and lunch daily starting at 7 am. Mornings bring La Colombe coffee, breakfast sandwiches, bagels like the Navis Lox Bagel, and avocado toast on sourdough. At lunch, the menu turns to hearty chowder, fresh salads and grain bowls, a Maine lobster roll on grilled brioche, and nautical-named sandwiches like The Mainah, The Bow, and The Stern. A small market stocks provisions, baked treats, wine, and local beer from Allagash and Shipyard. That makes it an easy stop before a harbor cruise, a ride on the Narrow Gauge Railroad, or a picnic on the Prom.
Dine in, grab it to go, order ahead online, or book the café for a private gathering of up to 50 guests.
