About Us

Whether you’re lunching on our private island, enjoying tennis, waterskiing, kayaking or sailing, a massage at our wellness center, time with the family, or gazing at dramatic sunsets – it’s all waiting for you, at Migis Lodge.

At Migis, you’ll stay in one of our Main Lodge’s six rooms, or in your private, luxury cottage. Either way, you’ll enjoy your own porch with views of the lake. Handsome appointments in every room. A fieldstone fireplace, handmade quilts on the beds, fresh flowers on the table. Complete maid service, including fresh ice and firewood delivered daily by your steward.

Migis Lodge is located in the heart of Maine’s Lakes Region, with many historic and beautiful towns and attractions nearby. Whether you’re driving from Portland or from North Conway and New Hampshire, you’ll find plenty to do and see nearby, including the Shaker Village in New Gloucester, rafting on the Saco River and hiking on local hills and mountains.

Slightly further afield are the attractions of Portland, including the Portland Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum, Brunswick (home to Bowdoin College) and, of course, Freeport, where you’ll find Maine’s own L.L. Bean and numerous retail outlets.

Please ask any of our staff for advice, information or driving directions to these or other attractions in our neighborhood.
