Two Mysterious Maine Homicides

Ever the Twain Shall Meet is Michael C. Connolly’s second historical novel, set in Portland during the turbulent 1930s and 1940s. A story of love, survival, and cultural clashes, the novel explores the intersection of people from highly different Maine families and weaves together two controversial murder cases; one involving the murder of Portland Police officer Michael T. Connolly in 1930, and the other the South Paris double homicide of Dr. James and Lydia Littlefield in 1937.
