Welcome Center Information Specialists

So you say you’re outgoing and knowledgeable about Greater Portland, Maine. If you are also sunny and warm, are positively charged about great customer service, appreciate the value of a good unbiased opinion, love to work independently and with a team, value your time and others and can sleuth your way to the truth, we want you!

Visit Portland, the non-profit, member based, destination marketing organization that promotes the Greater Portland region for tourism, is seeking part-time, seasonal staff for our Visitor Centers. We groom our staff for multiple sites to keep your experience fresh. Recruiting starts soon, with onsite training beginning in early May, followed by Front Line Training in late May.

Where we need you:

Ocean Gateway

Mon-Fri: 8:30-5 and Sat-Sun: 8:30-4

May 1 to October 31 (open all holidays)

Half or full days available

Minimum one shift per week

Parking*

Tommy’s Park

Daily: 10-5

Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day weekend,

with shorter shifts on cruise ship days through late October

Half or full days available

Minimum one shift per week

Parking*

Portland Jetport

Year-round

Weekdays (May-November): 4pm to midnight

Weekends (year-round): 10 am – 5 pm or 5 pm – midnight

Minimum one shift per week

Parking*

Portland Transportation Center

Year-round (shifts vary by season)

2-4+ hour long shifts

Minimum one shift per week

Days Cruise Ships are in port: Times are 4.5 hr shifts beginning ½ hour after ships dock.
