Shipman’s opening piece, First Principles of Hope and Enjoyment, is a light and joyful work for five dancers. Ballet Mistress Jennifer Jones, who retired from the stage last year after a tenure of ten years with Portland Ballet, will present A Young Woman Sits in Quiet Reflection. The production will wrap up with Impetus, a full-company finale piece choreographed by Shipman.
Portland Ballet and Westbrook Performing Arts Center follow all CDC- and state mandated COVID-19 regulations.
Audience members must be wearing face masks at all times. The theater will have limited capacity.
This performance is general admission, however, ushers will be seating audience members based on performing arts center guidelines to ensure social distancing. Families/groups may sit together.
Online ticket sales close 2h in advance and tickets will NOT be available at will call on the day of the show. The house will open 30 minutes prior to the performance.
