Celebrating the Music of Bach
The opening night of the Bach Virtuosi Festival will feature two favorite performances from 2018 and 2019: Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F Major and Cantata BWV 70 “Wachet, betet! betet! wachet!” Wachet, betet will be conducted by Lewis Kaplan, an internationally-recognized violinist and the founder of the Bach Virtuosi Festival and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. It will have 25 musicians performing. Three vocal works by Bach will also be performed. This is NOT a concert to miss!
