UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND ART GALLERY

Since the “Little Jewel” was reopened to the public in 1998 as the University of New England Art Gallery, it has showcased some of Maine’s finest artists in every medium!

The Gallery mounts four exhibitions annually plus a Sculpture Garden Invitational every summer, signaling that this University appreciates the visual arts and believes that fine art can enhance life long learning pleasure across all disciplines!

The UNE Art Gallery is in the midst of a four-part exhibition over a ten month period (through July 21) of MAINE WOMEN PIONEERS III, featuring works by 51 living Maine Women Artists in four segments: Vanguard, Homage, Worldview and Dirigo. Fom July 31 through October 26, the Gallery will feature THE ART OF KATAHDIN: the Mountain, the Range & the Region, with historic and current works of art in many mediums, curated by Stephen Halpert in association with David Little, artists and author of The Art of Katahdin.
