The Alpaca Shed is Portland’s only "Farm to Main St" shopping experience. See how two local alpaca farms unite to open a retail store offering natural domestic alpaca fiber products, along with other authentic Maine made products.

Alpaca’s produce fiber which is light weight and warm, but never scratchy. Come feel how soft our garments are. Our inventory is always evolving, but you can expect to find fashionable scarves, hats, and fingerless gloves; socks; kid’s accessories; and an array of gourmet foods.

More than just a store, The Alpaca Shed offers "Lunch and Learn" classes with complimentary tea and coffee. Check out our calendar; you could find the spinning wheel at work, knitting-machine demonstrations, and other special events.
