Q: What types of complimentary service does the Convention Sales Department offer?
Our goal is to make your role as meeting planner as streamlined as possible! Our department provides the following for free ~ finding that ideal location for your meeting or special occasion to include site visits and tours, referring you to area hotels and inns for overnight lodging, connecting you to catering, gift and transportation companies, suggesting ideas for teambuilding activities, arranging group tours of local attractions, museums, exhibits, coastal and inland tours, offering visitors guides including maps to guests, building excursions to create a memorable, quintessential experience in Maine.
Q:What types of venues are available for meetings and special events throughout Greater Portland?
Enjoy exploring the eclectic mix of venues in our area ~ Choices range from more traditional hotels in either a contemporary or historic setting, to a more intimate turn of the century downtown or coastal inn. Enjoy a state of the art conference room on a university campus, or a conference center up the coast with stunning ocean views. Arrange a welcome reception in a local art museum where the room becomes your palette. Or create your own style event in a renovated brick waterfront building with the harbor beckoning just outside the "room with a view.”
