Experience Maine! Destination Day
Brought to you by the Greater Portland Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), this 2-day event is designed to bring tour operators, reunion, meeting and event planners together with member businesses. The mission is to provide attendees with a rich, "hands on" experience allowing them valuable time to educate themselves on how your business can enhance their meeting in Maine.
Reinventing Maine Destination Day
A committee of industry leaders, specifically interested in the group market, gathered together with the CVB Convention Sales staff to create a new and more compelling experience for planners. Our goal is to help planners discover that Maine offers the right combination of business and adventure and to have them explore some of the lesser known treasures along with our traditional, quality meeting venues.
Planners truly need to see more of the unique destinations and attractions Maine has to offer. In addition to our "not to miss" networking tradeshow, tours were added on both Thursday & Friday allowing a more experiential adventure. Offering tours through Portland, Freeport, Kennebunkport and the MidCoast region entices the planner to "get-away from the office" and experience the Classic Coast of Maine!
We truly feel that providing them with a greater essence of Maine will help them make the best decision of their career...
