Full-Time Positions:
Currently we are looking for an Advertising + Marketing Manager. This job requires a person who is self-confident with an outgoing personality in order to build strong relationships with our members. You must be a self motivator with a passion for setting and reaching sales goals. The ability to multi-task and remain organized is essential for your success.
A brief summary of the job description:
- Responsible for generating advertising revenue for the Visitor’s Guide to Greater Portland, the Event Planner’s Guide, Maine Invites You and coop opportunities as warranted
- Responsible for enhanced listings and web advertising on the CVB VisitPortland website
- Responsible for producing the CVB Annual Golf Tournament which includes: securing a location, sponsors, players, prizes, auction items, and a networking social event for CVB members and the business community
This job is a 40 hour/week salaried position - Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. The CVB office is located downtown Portland, Maine - parking is included as well as health benefits, 401K plan, vacation & sick leave.

Do you like to meet interesting people from around the world? Do you like making new friends? Can you handle four to five hours of busy, people-oriented work once or twice a week? If so, the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Greater Portland has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.
You don't have to be a living encyclopedia to be a volunteer. Training, printed resources and kindred spirits are all it takes to be a Visitor Information Specialist at the CVB. Volunteers can work as often as they like, usually in four to five hour shifts. A minimum commitment of one shift per week is required. Training is readily available, and now is a good time to start preparing for the summer season.
